Sculptor/artist, conservationist and IGFA Florida Representative, David A. Wirth, presents his latest masterpiece, "Tarpon is Mangrove". This exquisite piece is hand-carved from a solid piece of extremely rare Woman's Tongue wood, native to Islamorada, FL Keys. The sculpture stands at 30 inches high, 8 inches wide, and 18 inches long, resting gracefully on a base of fossil coral from the Florida Keys. Priced at $8,200, this unique work of art embodies the essence of both tarpon and mangrove, celebrating the natural beauty of Florida's coastal environment.

David Wirth, born in Carmel and raised in Pacific Grove, California, developed a love for sea life on the Pacific coast. His journey into fish conservation began after meeting marine artist Dr. Guy Harvey at the Fred Hall Fishing Show, which led to his involvement with the IGFA. David's career expanded with his show, Wildlife Art Gallery with David Wirth, on the Outdoor Channel. He promotes circle hooks for ethical catch-and-release fishing and supports "no-kill" billfish tournaments globally.

Now residing in central Florida with his wife Bobbi, David continues to create art and advocate for sustainable fishing practices.
